Can Serviced Offices be Worthwhile?

July 24th, 2009

Relocating your office is not an easy task, and an office out in the a small village is ok, but is not so good if you employ a lot of people without cars. So, if the office has to be in the city, and not in a a renovated country house, what is the best bet?

It depends where you want to be but why not choose choose a city that has all the history of an industrial background, but is near beautiful countryside? Leeds is just such a city, being near the Yorkshire Dales, yet owing to its age has many of old buildings suitable for offices. It also has an airport and motorway nearby.

Serviced or refurbished office

First, though, what type of office would you want? You could get either a serviced office or office refurbishment in Leeds. The good thing about a serviced office is that you and your people just walk in and start work.

Needless to say you need to get your letterheads done, and all that stuff, but you don’t need to worry about the condition of the building . You don’t have to think whether you need to get Leeds office maintenancepeople in to do some work. It is all the responsibility of the landlord.

But, serviced offices are more expensive than your own office, although in the current financial crisis you could find a bargain where the landlord would rather have someone paying less than he wants to no-one at all. If you are moving to a new city, this could be a good idea to get you started in the city of your choice, and then you would have time to look around and find a more permanent office – probably one that has been refurbished.

If you go for a refurbished office, you will have to find an office block, work out how the office will be used – noting traffic flow – and then getting done. That could be a long time, so you might prefer a serviced office.
